\u201cIl film parla di ci\u00f2 che facciamo in nome dell\u2019amore\u201d. Lo spiega una solare e sempre affascinante Meryl Streep<\/strong> presentando alla Festa del Cinema di Roma<\/em> Florence Foster Jenkins<\/em><\/strong>, una commedia buffa e triste, che parla di amore, di musica e della realizzazione dei nostri sogni, diretta da Stephen Frears<\/strong>, con protagonista al suo fianco Hugh Grant<\/strong>, nelle sale dal 22 dicembre con Lucky Red.
Nel 1944 l\u2019ereditiera Florence Foster Jenkins, mecenate generosa, appassionata di musica classica, con l’aiuto del marito e manager inglese, intrattiene l’\u00e9lite newyorkese con incredibili performance canore. Quella che sente nella sua testa come una voce meravigliosa, \u00e8 per chiunque l’ascolti orribilmente stonata e ridicola, ma non sapr\u00e0 mai questa verit\u00e0, fino a quando decider\u00e0 di esibirsi in pubblico in un vero concerto alla Carnegie Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIl film parla di ogni tipo di passione. Cantare senza passione sarebbe il peccato vero, cantare senza talento \u00e8 solo un errore \u2013 spiega l\u2019attrice -. Mi sono preparata a stonare, \u00e8 stato divertente, ho fatto ridere tutti. Anche il grande compositore George Gershwin quando cantava accompagnando la sua musica era stonato, ma senza rendersene conto, come Florence. Il film \u00e8 animato dal suo spirito di bambina, il senso del gioco ce l\u2019abbiamo tutti\u201d. La storia ha anche un sottofondo di grande tenerezza. \u201cParla di una relazione lunga e felice tra due persone, di un affetto reciproco reale. Da questo punto di vista la storia \u00e8 piena di sentimento\u201d.  Come Florence non legge mai le recensioni sul suo conto: \u201cNon sai mai se ti tendono un\u2019imboscata dolorosa, mio marito mi protegge, mente, \u00e8 un atto d\u2019amore\u201d.
Lavorare al fianco di un \u201cmostro sacro\u201d come lei non deve essere facile. Anche Hug Grant le ha raccontato di aver provato paura. \u201cStronzate \u2013 \u00e8 il suo goliardico commento -, sbaglio apposta le battute cos\u00ec tutti si rilassano. Sento l\u2019obbligo di smantellare un certo edificio artificioso che mi precede sul set e inconsciamente me ne libero \u2013 spiega -, per lavorare bene ci vuole feeling reciproco, non grossi muri\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confessa di fare cinema con lo stesso spirito di quando ha cominciato. \u201cTutte le donne che interpreto hanno la stessa importanza, forse oggi mi \u00e8 diminuita la memoria a breve termine ma non l\u2019entusiasmo\u201d . Non aspira invece alla regia: \u201cNon ne sento la necessit\u00e0, amo recitare, la soggettivit\u00e0, non dover avere un punto di vista pi\u00f9 globale, \u00e8 gi\u00e0 tanto difficile immergersi in un personaggio. Ma \u00e8 quello che ho sempre voluto fare, sin da bambina, sapere cosa si provava e sono rimasta cos\u00ec curiosa. Un\u2019indagine pi\u00f9 profonda nei sentimenti degli altri ti aiuta a entrare pi\u00f9 a fondo nei tuoi, a sentirti sollevata per le tue sofferenze\u201d.
Considera i film un\u2019 illusione: \u201cCi servono per non ammazzarci. Illusione \u00e8 la bellezza, \u00e8 l\u2019arte, \u00e8 qualcosa che non ha tempo. Io sono pessima in tante cose, ma ho quattro figli che me lo ricordano sempre\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
