L\u2019attore, regista e produttore mette in evidenza una devastante pratica, divenuta ormai consuetudine del nostro Paese, di \u201csvendere\u201d per politiche mercenarie il nostro patrimonio, come gi\u00e0 purtroppo avvenuto per i grandi marchi automobilistici, alberghieri, dell\u2019alta moda, della grande distribuzione.<br><br>Nel film (che vede la luce delle sale dopo quasi un anno di letargo dalla presentazione alla Festa del cinema di Roma, per la difficolt\u00e0 nel trovare un distributore) si racconta dunque che, per superare una profonda crisi finanziaria, il governo italiano decide di vendere ai francesi Filicudi, una delle magnifiche isole delle Eolie, il cui nome antico \u00e8 Phoenicusa. Il Governo francese spedisce sull\u2019isola Fran\u00e7ois Alarie (Todeschini) soprannominato Richelieu. Dietro la promessa del suo governo di farlo diventare presto Ministro, il grande stratega cercher\u00e0 di acquisire, nell\u2019ombra, tutte le propriet\u00e0 degli isolani a costo di manipolazioni, negoziazioni, compravendite e lottizzazioni.<br><br>Ma la bellezza, si sa, non si compra. E gli isolani sono tutt\u2019altro che indifesi. Inizialmente ignari del complotto alle loro spalle e del destino che li attende, non tardano ad allinearsi contro il nemico. Capitanati da Marianna Torre (Finocchiaro), Sindaca tanto combattiva e determinata quanto sensuale e affascinante, la popolazione dell\u2019isola svela la sua forza difensiva e fronteggia Fran\u00e7ois per riprendersi le case, i negozi, la lingua, la bandiera, le barche, l\u2019identit\u00e0 e l\u2019unicit\u00e0 dell\u2019Isola.<br><br>\u201c\u00c8 un film di cuore che rappresenta la bellezza del nostro paese. L\u2019identit\u00e0 e l\u2019unicit\u00e0 di un luogo non sono \u2018acquistabili\u2019 ma possono solo, tramite investimenti, essere preservate e valorizzate \u2013 sottolinea Barbareschi -. La bellezza non si compra, si riconosce. E di bellezza \u00e8 ricca la protagonista della storia, Filicudi, isola siciliana nel meraviglioso panorama delle Eolie. Con questo film voglio mettere in scena una storia di caduta e redenzione, di rivalsa e di rispetto. Voglio anche raccontare una storia d\u2019amore; di amore tra un lui e una lei, ma soprattutto di amore profondo per un luogo del cuore\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Una fiaba politica, una storia inventata che racconta qualcosa di reale.
