{"id":23331,"date":"2004-11-24T15:12:54","date_gmt":"2004-11-24T14:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reflections.it\/wordpress\/?p=23331"},"modified":"2025-12-25T22:21:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T21:21:00","slug":"sky-captain-and-the-world-of-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reflections.it\/wordpress\/sky-captain-and-the-world-of-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;emozione che si prova davanti ad una pellicola come\u00a0<em>Sky Captain &amp; the World of Tomorrow<\/em>\u00a0\u00e8 tanta, anche perch\u00e9 non capita tutti i giorni di vedere cosi bene assemblati capolavori del fumetto, cenni e citazioni sul grande cinema di genere e richiami (nelle scenografie e nei costumi) all&#8217;universo patinato e chiaroscuro dei mitici anni Trenta e Quaranta con lo sguardo rivolto al drammatico presente e ad un sempre pi\u00f9 avveniristico futuro. Sullo stile di pietre miliari da grande schermo, su tutte\u00a0<em>King Kong<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0e\u00a0<em>I predatori dell&#8217;Arca Perduta<\/em>, il viaggio di Kerry Conran nell&#8217;immaginario fantascientifico e avventuroso ha inizio con uno spettacolare attacco aereo dal profumo fortemente superoistico: l&#8217;indice puntato verso l&#8217;alto, la folla assiepata con timore ai piedi di monumentali grattacieli, le luci nebulose, fotografate in un bianco nero dalle sfumature brunite, allude alle tavole e ai vecchi cartoon di\u00a0<em>Superman<\/em>\u00a0in lingua originale (ancora in onda su qualche rete privata) senza tenere conto che la ficcanaso di turno \u00e8 una spregiudicata reporter di un quotidiano, ideale collega della Lois Lane, eterna compagna del paladino pi\u00f9 veloce della luce. Robottoni teleguidati intanto invadono la citt\u00e0 di New York (l&#8217;allusione ai rimandi storico-politici dell&#8217;undici settembre \u00e8 evidente) e nonostante l&#8217;intervento dell&#8217;esercito, il Paese \u00e8 in ginocchio se non fosse per il pilota Joseph Sullivan, condottiero dei cieli e punta di diamante dell&#8217;aviazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il sogno accarezzato dal regista di far recitare attori in carne e ossa accanto a scenari e teatri di posa riprodotti con la tecnica digitale del &#8220;blue screen&#8221;, si \u00e8 finalmente realizzato, dopo un desiderio coccolato in giovent\u00f9 (trasformato in un cortometraggio di circa cinque minuti) e una gestazione durata ben sette anni con l&#8217;interessamento di tanti produttori, uno su tutti Jon Avnet. Il risultato \u00e8 uno spassoso giocattolone, niente di particolarmente originale si intenda, soprattutto a livello narrativo, dedicato a quel pubblico di cinefili con il quale il regista si diverte a infittire ogni scena di dettagli e informazioni. Jude Law e una Gwyneth Paltrow dall&#8217;acconciatura alla Veronica Lake, si divertono a riportare in auge i fasti della gloriosa &#8216;screwball comedy&#8217; con siparietti gustosi, alle quali si aggiungono una sempre pi\u00f9 affascinante Angelina Jolie, nei panni di Frankie, ufficiale dell&#8217;aviazione britannica e amante del protagonista, un ironico Giovanni Ribisi, sfegatato fan della science-fiction e un folgorante cammeo del versatile Micheal Gambon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La scelta di catapultare i nostri verso mondi e universi sconosciuti, passando dal Nepal &#8211; Shangri-La (qualcuno lo accomuna non a torto all&#8217;incantevole paradiso capriano di\u00a0<em>Orizzonte Perduto<\/em>) imbattersi in basi militari sospese tra le nuvole e poi esplorare le profondit\u00e0 marine a bordo di un aerosommergibile che avrebbe fatto rabbrividire il Capitano Nemo; giungere infine al cospetto di un Mago di Oz con il volto di Laurence Oliver rigenerato al computer, fa pensare al peregrinare picaresco dei tanti personaggi imprigionati nelle strisce animate dei primi comics, e ai fondali trattati a matita delle creature di Alex Raymond per il suo\u00a0<em>Flash Gordon<\/em>.
