{"id":22256,"date":"2006-01-05T21:33:29","date_gmt":"2006-01-05T20:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reflections.it\/wordpress\/?p=22256"},"modified":"2025-12-14T17:43:36","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T16:43:36","slug":"lady-henderson-presenta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reflections.it\/wordpress\/lady-henderson-presenta\/","title":{"rendered":"Lady Henderson presenta"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il Windmill Theatre rappresent\u00f2 per la Londra pre e post bellica una realt\u00e0 che mut\u00f2 con coraggio la consuetudine del variet\u00e0, ma incarn\u00f2 soprattutto la resistenza stessa di una citt\u00e0 assediata e bombardata rimanendo l&#8217;unico teatro aperto per tutta la durata della seconda guerra mondiale. \u00abNoi non chiudiamo mai\u00bb e \u00abNoi non ci copriamo mai\u00bb furono gli slogan che caratterizzarono una nuova forma di spettacolo all&#8217;interno della quale, non solamente era previsto un orario non-stop, ma venne introdotto il primo nudo integrale femminile su di un palcoscenico proiettando la perbenista e pudica Inghilterra verso un futuro inaspettato. Artefice pratico di tale &#8220;scandalo&#8221; fu il direttore artistico Vivian Van Damm, ma la scintilla innovatrice nacque dalla fantasia spudorata di Lady Anderson, donna troppo intelligente e schietta per nascondersi alla vita ed alle sue naturali lusinghe. Dunque un materiale complesso e dettagliato, sicuramente non facile da gestire e da ricondurre attraverso la sintesi cinematografica. Dalla ricostruzione dell&#8217;epoca, all&#8217;ambiente teatrale fino alla disperazione di un mondo che sullo sfondo stava drammaticamente mutando, tutto compone un quadro che, se non gestito da mani sapienti, avrebbe potuto scadere in una babilonia stilistica senza precedenti. Per nostra fortuna Stephen Frears (<em>Le relazioni pericolose<\/em>,\u00a0<em>A prova di errore<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Due sulla strada<\/em>) ha saputo vestire i panni di un perfetto direttore d&#8217;orchesta, armonizzando il dramma con la commedia e qualche scorcio di musical in un unica modulata armonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certo una parte fondamentale del successo \u00e8 da attribuire alla scelta pi\u00f9 che appropriata dei protagonisti. Judi Dench e Bob Hoskins compongono infatti una coppia assolutamente efficace. Quasi al pari di Spencer Tracy e Katharine Hepburn mettono in scena una esilarante e del tutto rinnovata battaglia del sesso con lo scopo di offrire alla vitalit\u00e0 di una &#8220;femmina&#8221; moderna l&#8217;opportunit\u00e0 di esprimersi ed imporsi al di sopra dei divieti sociali e ad un uomo di sostenere il non sempre facile ma comunque stimolante confronto con &#8220;la sua costola di Adamo&#8221;. Ma se a Bob Hoskins (<em>La fiera della vanit\u00e0<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Il nemico alle porte<\/em>) \u00e8 affidato il compito di rappresentare l&#8217;universo di un teatro che da semplice intrattenimento si trasforma in fenomeno sociale e luogo in cui la vita ostinatamente non cede il passo alla morte, allo stesso modo la Dench (<em>Chocolat<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Shakespeare in Love<\/em>), riassume la forza spudorata di una donna che, con il coraggio di una ironia caustica ed innocente allo stesso tempo, spazza via con un sol colpo la muffa vittoriana puntualizzando che lo scandalo \u00e8 insito nel cuore di chi osserva e non direttamente nelle &#8220;poppe o nel seno&#8221; che dir si voglia. Per concludere\u00a0<em>Lady Henderson presenta<\/em>\u00a0riesce pienamente nell&#8217;intento di regalare ad una vicenda realmente accaduta il pregio di una trasposizione cinematografica degna ed onestamente divertente. Nonostante quel teatro sotteraneo e leggermente claustrofobico oggi sia stato trasformato in un club di lap dance, grazie a Frears la sua aurea di magia continua a sopravvivere, offrendoci l&#8217;illusione di un passato che seppe gi\u00e0 osare, verso un futuro incerto ed imprevedibile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">di Tiziana
