{"id":21645,"date":"2006-10-17T16:43:47","date_gmt":"2006-10-17T14:43:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reflections.it\/wordpress\/?p=21645"},"modified":"2025-12-12T17:46:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T16:46:07","slug":"the-departed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reflections.it\/wordpress\/the-departed\/","title":{"rendered":"The Departed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e9 vincitori, n\u00e9 vinti nella Boston sotto assedio di\u00a0<em>The Departed<\/em>, ventesimo lungometraggio del maestro del Queens,\u00a0<strong>Martin Scorsese<\/strong>\u00a0che ci offre quasi due ore e mezza di tensione e adrenalina senza sbavature. I suoi &#8220;bravi ragazzi&#8221; stavolta hanno il volto acqua e sapone di\u00a0<strong>Leonardo DiCaprio<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>Matt Damon<\/strong>\u00a0e la mafia non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 quella italiana di New York ma quella irlandese di Boston. I due hanno i ruoli di Billy Costigan e Colin Sullivan: il primo, cresciuto nei bassifondi della citt\u00e0, viene arruolato nella polizia e poi infiltrato sotto copertura nella peggiore cosca mafiosa, il secondo lavora per la stessa organizzazione, solo che lo fa non dalla strada ma dai computer della squadra speciale investigativa che dovrebbe sgominarla. Entrambi sanno che l&#8217;altro c&#8217;\u00e8, ma non sanno chi sia. Una situazione di semi-stallo, una partita a scacchi avvincente, che non pu\u00f2 che risolversi nel sangue. E non perch\u00e9 sia il genere stesso a richiederlo, ma \u00e8 la fonte, il cinema di Hong Kong, a non lasciare scampo ad americanismi e false celebrazioni. Alle spalle di\u00a0<em>The Departed<\/em>\u00a0c&#8217;\u00e8 infatti\u00a0<em>Infernal Affairs<\/em>, film di\u00a0<strong>Andrew Lau<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>Siu Fai Mak<\/strong>\u00a0del 2002, verso il quale tuttavia il film di Scorsese si colloca in una dimensione superiore a quella del remake. Un &#8220;newmake&#8221; si potrebbe definire\u00a0<em>The Departed<\/em>\u00a0quale opera che viva di vita propria grazie alla sceneggiatura limata di\u00a0<strong>William Monahan<\/strong>\u00a0(prima di ora solo\u00a0<em>Le Crociate<\/em>), il tocco di Scorsese e l&#8217;interpretazione dei suoi protagonisti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lo spessore dei protagonisti, rappresentati in tutta la loro psicologia, trasforma il film in una tragedia umana prima di tutto. Un\u00a0<strong>Jack Nicholson<\/strong>\u00a0in stile Joker interpreta lo spietato boss Jack Costello, uno che cita Freud mentre gioca con una mano mozzata, che tortura Costigan per poi quasi trattarlo come suo figlioccio arrivando a fidarsi davvero dell&#8217;unico uomo che \u00e8 l\u00ec per tradirlo. Si dipana un quadro di rapporti impossibili e di famiglie che non esistono. L&#8217;unico elemento femminile del film \u00e8 la &#8220;strizzacervelli&#8221; della polizia, interpretata da\u00a0<strong>Vera Farmiga<\/strong>\u00a0(gi\u00e0 vista in\u00a0<em>The Manchurian Candidate<\/em>), che si trova ad avere una relazione sia con Costigan che con Sullivan. Per il resto\u00a0<em>The Departed<\/em>\u00a0\u00e8 un racconto di uomini soli uniti da un telefono cellulare che rappresenta anch&#8217;esso un rischio. Costello \u00e8 un padrino senza famiglia, entrato in un vortice dal quale, da vivi, non si esce pi\u00f9. Costigan \u00e8 un volto senza nome, un file criptato nascosto in un piccolo ufficio della polizia di Boston e Sullivan \u00e8 un falso, il miglior prodotto della societ\u00e0 americana che la mala possa comprare. Vederli interagire \u00e8 un gaudio ed \u00e8 la forza stessa del film. Velocit\u00e0 di sviluppo e violenza diffusa manderanno in sollucchero i patiti di cinema &#8220;Far East&#8221; ma Scorsese riesce a completare la caratteristica critica alla modernit\u00e0 presente in quel cinema (e nel primo piano di un cellulare sporco di sangue), con i tratti somatici di un microcosmo decadente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">di Alessio
