Tornato al cinema europeo dopo venti anni trascorsi all&#8217;ombra di Hollywood (<em>RoboCop<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Total Recall<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Basic Instinct<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Starship Troopers<\/em>), presenta un film sulla persecuzione razziale e la resistenza olandese capace di far indignare tutte le parti chiamate in causa. Revisionista, traditore od antinazionalista che sia,\u00a0<strong>Verhoeven<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 riuscito in poco tempo a mettersi contro tutti. Contro la comunit\u00e0 ebraica offesa per i toni della narrazione in alcuni momenti troppo \u201cdisinibiti\u201d, contro gli ex-partigiani dipinti con tratti vilmente pi\u00f9 umani e meno eroici, per finire con l&#8217;immagine di un paese che non esce esattamente a testa alta dalla situazione. In fin dei conti nulla di nuovo sotto il sole, n\u00e9 dal punto di vista intellettuale n\u00e9 da quello storico. Ma nonostante il suo auting contenutistico ( non dimentichiamo che in passato aveva gi\u00e0 firmato la regia di\u00a0<em>Soldato d&#8217;Orange<\/em>\u00a0dai toni e dalle sfumature completamente diverse) e la volont\u00e0 di ritornare ad una cinematografia di stampo europeo,\u00a0<strong>Verhoeven<\/strong>\u00a0non riesce o non vuole distaccarsi da una fattura di ripresa e di messa in scena tipicamente americana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ancora influenzato probabilmente dai grandi kolossal storici hollywoodiani dove, per quanto ardua sia la situazione sembra impossibile rinunciare ad un lustra ed intatta ambientazione, Verhoeven riproduce un \u2018atmosfera fin troppo patinata inadatta ed inappropriata ad una distruzione di massa. Alla sua moderna Mata Hari (<strong>Carice van Houten<\/strong>) che affronta le attivit\u00e0 spionistiche in tacchi alti, trucco perfetto e sguardo da ammaliatrice, fa corollario un insieme gaudente di truppe tedesche a cui si deve la presenza di cameratesche battute da osteria che sfalsano e destrutturano l\u2019intera narrazione. Senza scavare troppo nella memoria cinematografica,\u00a0<em>Train de vie<\/em>\u00a0( 1998) ci ha offerto una visione assolutamente pi\u00f9 vitale, utilizzando un umorismo caustico ed delicato allo stesso tempo, dove il sorriso non offende ma osserva da un&#8217;altra angolazione un destino che appare inevitabile. Partendo dal presupposto che il senso dell\u2019ironia non \u00e8 materiale semplice da utilizzare perch\u00e8 capace di ritorcesi contro con estrema facilit\u00e0, non rimane che ricordare a\u00a0<strong>Verhoeven<\/strong>\u00a0come anche l\u2019assolutamente hollywoodiano\u00a0<strong>Spielberg<\/strong>\u00a0ha accettato di \u201csporcare\u201d le proprie immagini pur di rendere
